Caroline Mitchell Carrico

Writer. Editor. Curator.

I write engaging and compelling stories about Memphis’s history, culture, and communities with a special emphasis on putting the past in conversation with the present. I have a MA in History with a graduate certificate in museum studies from The University of Memphis. My research interests include modern American history and the relationship between cultural institutions and their communities.

I am currently working on a historical fiction novel about Constance and her companions, the Episcopal nuns who served in Memphis during the 1878 yellow fever epidemic. I am also looking for a home for my first novel, a middle grade fantasy written with heavy input from my children.

Additionally, I am accepting writing and project management contracts. Let’s work together.
